West Sacramento Announces Small Business Grants

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The City of West Sacramento announced today a Small Business Assistance Program to provide grants to help restaurants and other small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The West Sacramento City Council allocated $150,000 in CARES Act funds to provide grants of $3,000 to eligible small businesses with 25 or less full-time employees. The program is targeted to assist restaurants and other small businesses that were required to close, only operate outside or significantly reduce capacity.  

The City will prioritize applications among restaurants expanding outdoors and other small businesses listed below:

  • Restaurants and Eating and Drinking Establishments  
  • General Personal Services: (Beauty and barber shops, nail salons etc.) 
  • Instructional Services (music, martial arts, vocal, fitness and dancing instruction etc.) 
  • Indoor Sports and Recreation  
  • General Retail    
  • Day Care Centers 

Due to the limited funding available, not all eligible businesses can be assisted. Grants will be prioritized for restaurants followed by other small businesses through a random selection process.  Businesses may apply starting at 9:00 a.m.  Monday, October 26, 2020 until 5 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020. Visit www.cityofwestsacramento.org/business for details.
