Residents of every community are urged to remain informed and comply with all public health rules

WOODLAND, CA (MPG) - As part of ongoing efforts to provide transparent COVID-19 data to residents, Yolo County has added new fields to the COVID-19 dashboard, including: those currently hospitalized in Yolo County hospitals, hospital bed availability, and recovered cases. The County has also updated the daily testing positivity rate to reflect the State’s number.

Dashboard users can now find how many hospital beds are occupied by COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients and how many beds are available in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Non-Intensive Care Unit (Non-ICU). Residents can toggle between ‘Non-ICU Hospital Beds’ and ‘ICU Hospital Beds’ and read a description with more information on these fields. Please note that some data for hospital bed capacity may not be entered yet and show up as blank.

Furthermore, residents can discover how many COVID-19 patients are currently receiving care in Yolo County hospitals. Some Yolo County residents are hospitalized outside of Yolo County due to medical provider, family or other reason and are not included in this number.

In addition, residents can see how many people have recovered from COVID-19 in Yolo County. This number is an estimate of the number of cases no longer considered infectious and is calculated by subtracting deaths, current hospitalizations and cases in the last two weeks from the total number of cases to date.

Lastly, the testing positivity number has also been updated to reflect the State’s number for better alignment. As part of these new changes, some fields have moved but none have been deleted.

Residents of every community are urged to remain informed and comply with all public health rules and guidance, especially limiting social gatherings, wearing face coverings, physically distancing and regularly washing their hands with soap and water or using hand sanitizer. Residents can call Yolo 2-1-1 for resource information.
